SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

YRD, LLC. is a consumer goods company that specializes in products that are marketed and sold on/in home shopping television networks, large retail chains, and e-commerce. We manage the complete life cycle of our products from the initial design and prototype all the way through the manufacturing process to finished goods. We are looking for a Senior Accountant who will participate in the full range of the company's finance and accounting activities. Your primary objective will be to process full-cycle accounting tasks with a goal of producing accurate and timely financial statements and reports. Working with the company’s accounting staff and leadership, you will provide key metrics to incorporate into the business plans; you will play a crucial role in the establishment of effective control systems. To excel in this role, you must have experience with large retail chains and the manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, in-office position.

Following is a sampling of what this job entails

Compile and analyze financial reports determining ways to reduce costs

Processing of Accounts Receivable

Processing of Accounts Payable

Completion of bank reconciliations

Strong understanding of accounting for and managing inventory

Work on and establish written procedures

Filing of sales tax, property tax, 1099’s, etc., as needed

Processing/booking payroll

Understanding and analysis of insurance (health, liability, worker’s comp, etc.)

Development of Ad Hoc reporting

Preparation of budgets and/or forecasts

Booking and reconciliation of merchant accounts (including PayPal)

Liaise with vendors, bankers & related authorities

Qualifications, Skills, Education, Experience, and Technical knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience; CPA a plus

Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/finance

Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Proficiency in operations of all basic office equipment

Proficiency in basic MS Office applications (experience with Monday.com a plus)

Expertise in Quick Books

Experience with e-commerce platforms (i.e., Shopify, Amazon, Klayvio, etc.)

Intermediate to Advanced Excel Knowledge
