Staff Accountant
As the Staff Accountant, your analytical skills and pride in your work are crucial to our continued success as we will rely on you for accounting activities related to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and month end close procedures. You will also maintain daily records of sales and cash receipts while performing the following duties:
Assist with daily and/or monthly reconciliations of accounts
Complete special projects as necessary
Provide assistance to the CFO and CEO, Auxiliary Services
Daily journal entries
Perform general ledger account analyses
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
Oversee the collection and cash deposits
Control Sales Representatives expenses
Prepare sales and expenses reports for monthly closing purposes
Process the Accounts Payable Excel file
Generate phone calls for collection purposes
Assist with month end closing procedures
Full Cycle AP and AR
Sales tax Return
1099’s
Inventory Control
Work with CPA providing information for annual tax return
Licenses and annual reports renewals
Annual Property tax
Qualifications:
Bilingual in English/Spanish MUST HAVE.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 3 years of experience, If not degree at least 4 years of experience
Excellent PC skills with strong knowledge of Excel and Word
Willing to work in San Diego
Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Solid finance and accounting skills
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve quality results
Ability to work independently and be very well-organized
Strong Accounting Software experience (Business Works preferably)
Ability to work as a team member to analyze problems and develop and implement effective and workable solutions
Ability to accurately and efficiently perform required computerized tasks to include any combination of word processing, spreadsheet, data base, e-mail, internet or web-based applications
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial data
