CTEC Certified Tax Preparer and General Office Support
We are a small Point Loma based tax firm looking for someone with CTEC certification to assist in all aspects of tax season and supporting the office and clients. You will be a multitool in the office, complete tax returns, data entry for tax returns, dealing with administrative issues etc.
Responsibilities:
Create/file personal tax returns for review by owner
Tax Interviews
Calculate and estimate tax payments, deductibles, & liabilities
Auditing tax forms for completeness and accuracy
Delivering Tax Returns and collecting payments
Assist with data entry into tax returns
Assist in organizing and maintaining tax-related records and files.
Collaborate with tax team to support ongoing tasks.
Answering Phones and backing up front office staff
Misc Filing, scanning and other admin tasks
Requirements:
CTEC and / or Enrolled Agent Certification
Comfortable doing in person, personal tax interviews.
2-3 years tax preparation experience
Must have knowledge of Lacerte tax prep software, with 2 years minimum experience working with this software.
Excellent computational ability
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to commute to office in Point loma (San Diego)
