Your key responsibilities as a Cashier will be as follows:
You will interact with many customers daily, all while working with an energetic team, accomplishing daily tasks around the store and gas station property.
Customer Service: greet customers, run the register, cashier, There is never a dull moment as you will be working around the store (inside and out) in many different areas to help maintain our high standards for store appearance and provide a fast, safe and friendly service environment to our customers. Answer the phone, assist customers as needed and provide excellent customer service to all of our customers.
The following duties and tasks for all cashiers at Karana Gasoline are as followed: Cleaning all areas including counter tops, cooler doors, front doors, and windows, sweeping, and mopping floors inside, cleaning/sweeping trash and debris outside of the store around the entire property, clean gas pumps and displays, clean bathroom as needed throughout your shift, empty all trash cans inside and outside, fill propane tanks as needed for customers.
Restock all products as needed including filling the ice machine. Cashiers must contact the owner Devon immediately if anything breaks or any alarms occur on the Veeder root monitoring system during your shift, and you may be required to call the repair company (Western Pump) for any gas equipment or point of sale related issues or Ryko Carwash for any carwash related issues as needed. Additionally, cashiers must complete any other duties assigned by management as needed.
Behavioral Expectations: There will be no electronic equipment use such as cell phones allowed while helping customers or if a customer is inside the store. There will be no hygiene procedures allowed such as; doing your hair or make-up while you are working because that needs to be taken care of on your own time and never during company time. The Store Associate must ensure that the store is open for business by 6:00AM PST daily and the carwash no later than 6:15AM PST every day.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours
Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift
Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift
Grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands. This handwork requires eye-hand coordination, and may require climbing a ladder to store, stock and retrieve materials or place and remove signs as needed.

Generally available Monday to Sunday (schedules are proposed by owner and site manager based on business needs. Some flexibility to your schedule may be granted based on availability but, not guaranteed. Please speak to your site manager).
Available on Weekends and must be available to work weekends as needed or dependent on agreed schedules.
