Job Overview:
Christian family is seeking a compassionate and responsible Nanny/Family Assistant to provide exceptional care for a 7 month old baby in Vista, CA 92084. Both parents work from home.
The ideal candidate will have experience with infants/babies and be dedicated to fostering a safe, educational, and fun atmosphere. This position requires a proactive individual who can engage with the baby through play, education, and daily routines.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am starting time.
Duties:
Supervise and ensure the safety of baby.
Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Reading, singing, walks, sensory play, outings. No screens.
Prepare and feed formula, as well as prepare nutritious meals and snacks (we are introducing solids).
Maintain cleanliness in the play areas and assist with light household chores related to childcare (nursery organization, laundry, etc).
Implement daily routines, including nap times, meal times, and playtime.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding the baby's progress and any concerns.
Administer first aid when necessary and maintain a first aid kit readily available.
Assistant tasks: light house keeping while baby naps, such as unloading the dishwasher, doing dishes as necessary, wiping down kitchen counters. Possibly helping mom with other household tasks, such as meal prep or errands if time permits.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in childcare or as a nanny is preferred (especially infant experience).
2 - 3+ or more references
Strong understanding of baby milestones, development, practices.
Ability to clean, cook, educate, and prepare meals for children.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification
Trustline certified or willing to submit to a background check
Clean driving record and car
Likes small dogs (we have one)
Minimal phone usage
Non smoker/vaper
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with babies and parents alike.
A caring attitude towards babies/children with the ability to manage various situations calmly and effectively.
Punctual, flexible, easy going, detail oriented, and a great/self starter attitude are a must.
Desire to stay on long term (1+ year)
Expected hours: 37 – 44 per week
