We are looking for a knowledgeable Tutor to work with high school student primarily focusing on Math (IM2). This role is essentially providing instructional support, homework help, test prep to a high school student with dyslexia to help him achieve better understanding and improve grade. Assistance with other subjects such as Anatomy would be helpful.
Responsibilities
Work one-on-one on math, tailored to the individual needs and assignments due.
Adapt teaching accordingly to enhance retention of material.
Stay updated on current projects and upcoming quizzes/tests in order to incorporate into tutoring schedule.
Communicate regularly with student and family on areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge in subjects such as Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry.
Some experience in tutoring or teaching students math at the high school level.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage students' needs effectively.
Ability to work evening during the workweek and/or weekend hours, as needed, onsite.
Hours: Flexible, ideally Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday evening availability, 6:30p to 8:30p. Approx. 4 hours/week
