Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our team in Oceanside, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing with both wood and metal materials. As a Mechanical Designer/Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications for a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop detailed design and production drawings for both wood and metal components.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable.
- Perform design analysis and validation to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Assist in the prototyping and testing of new designs.
- Maintain accurate and organized design documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the production team.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience in designing with both wood and metal materials.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for wood and metal.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of other CAD software and tools.
