REVERENCE ENGINEERING seeks an

Experienced residential drafter/designer with strong attention to detail, work ethic, and problem-solving skills to join our team and lead design and drafting efforts for our clients and their projects!

In general, the right candidate should have at a minimum 2 years of experience drafting residential projects and seeing them through the permit process, should be familiar with building code, have experience with CAD, be client-focused, and be able to work within a team.

The position entails working with clients and our staff to develop permit sets of drawings and other documentation for proposed improvements (usually single-family dwellings or similar). General duties will involve working with clients, the local jurisdiction, and our team to translate the design intent and proposed improvements into a working set of permit drawings via site visits, drafting, code research, idea generation, and coordination with other team members to accomplish additional drafting efforts, energy calculations, structural documentation, and any other permit-related requirements.

Based on the applicant’s experience and skills, this position may include (or evolve to include) simple to advanced design work such as developing a new floor plan or site plan, a new freestanding structure, and/or a second story.

Applicants should have relevant and equivalent work experience. Applicant should have experience with AutoCAD LT and be very comfortable with Microsoft Office and PC hardware (non-Apple). Revit, Lumion, etc. are a bonus. Applicants should enjoy crafting professional documentation and have a keen eye for details, readability, and presentation.

Applicants should be generally familiar with basic jurisdiction submittal processes and be able to generally complete or facilitate the completion of any basic documentation. Applicants should be generally familiar with municipal and building code.

Applicants should have relevant and demonstrable employment experience (all levels are encouraged to apply) drafting, detailing, and/or designing residential projects. Experience with small commercial projects of similar construction is a bonus.

Compensation (wages) will be based on experience. Expected annual compensation range to vary from $70,000 to $90,000 per year based on experience and based on a 40-hour work week.

Requirements:

- Must be at least 21 years of age

- Must be a U.S. citizen

- Must have valid driver's license and private transportation

- Must be able and willing to drive personal vehicle (expense reimbursable) to client site visits.

-Must be a native English speaker or otherwise be fluent in English since this is a client-facing position.

Work Schedule:

- Full Time: Expected 40+ hours per week with 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM core hours.

- Part-Time: Hours per week to be negotiated.
