General Purpose of Position
Omega Land Surveying, Inc. is seeking experienced and reliable individuals to fill roles as a Survey Technician or on a Field Crew. We have opportunities for office-based, field-based, or hybrid positions, depending on your experience and preference. As a small but dynamic firm in San Diego, we collaborate with Omega Engineering Consultants to provide exceptional surveying services for residential and commercial land development projects across Southern California.
Responsibilities
Office-Focused Role:
Process data from field surveys to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Prepare precise calculations for construction staking tasks.
Draft topographic surveys and ALTA-NSPS Land Title Surveys.
Draft Records of Survey and Subdivision Maps.
Field-Focused Role:
Lead one-man or two-man survey crews to perform boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
Operate and maintain survey equipment, including robotic total stations, GNSS receivers, and data collectors.
Qualifications
For office roles, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
For field roles, experience with Data Collection Software and equipment such as Robotic Total Stations and GNSS Receivers is essential.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
A strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to physical fieldwork demands and maintain a professional demeanor in all environments.
Responsible, punctual, and open to working overtime as needed.
A valid California Class C driver’s license.
Must currently reside in San Diego or provide a clear timeline for relocation.
