Database Architect - San Diego, CA - up to $140k


A company that enables the development of drug therapies, diagnostics, and novel vaccines is looking for a Database Architect. The architecture is critical to the business intelligence platform and will help the visualization layer developed using Tableau.



Responsibilities

• Extracting, loading, and transforming data from different data sources into a centralized data warehouse in Snowflake


• Own the extraction, load, and transform (ELT) process


• Review queries and optimize them for performance


• Work hand in hand with the data visualization team to create Tableau reports; Work with the business systems owners


• Troubleshoot data issues in the ELT pipeline

Qualifications

• Min. 2 years of Snowflake experience


• Min. 5 years of data warehouse experience (ETL and ELT processes)


• Experience in normalization/query optimization/data structures/database design


• Experience with one or more programming languages (Python, R), Object-Oriented Concepts


• Experience with shell scripting (or comparable)


• Authorized to work in the US
