AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support our multi-disciplinary design team addressing the most challenging engineering tasks in power generation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage the technical team and lead projects as discipline Structural lead in responsible charge.The responsibilities of this role also include, but may not be limited to, the following:Support Nuclear Technical Lead and Department Manager with strategic resourcing initiativesSupervise and lead a team of structural engineers through their individual and team technical development for greater utility to the organization and overall career satisfactionServe as Structural Lead/Engineering of Record on all size projects maintaining responsibility for deliverable development and contributing to the design workLead improvements in project efficiencies by creating, updating, and implementing group specific standards/templates and researching and recommending software packages/plug-insDevelop task and deliverable list with associated hours estimate and schedule to support business development activitiesMulti-discipline collaboration on the development of equipment general arrangements, site layouts, facility retrofits, technical specifications, contractor scopes of work, etc.Provides technical expertise for risk assessments, due diligence and other studies presenting complex technical solutions to clients.Supporting projects through complete life cycle including the feasibility phase, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioningDirecting, originating and contributing to the development of structural engineering calculations, specifications and drawingsPerforms quality control reviews of work developed by othersParticipating in and presenting engineering work at internal and client meetings including those requiring occasional travelAt AECOM, we’re delivering a better world.We believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone.
