Primary Objective of Restaurant Assistant Manager Position

The primary objective of the Restaurant Assistant Manager is to deliver an excellent first and last impression to all guests and to provide accurate information over the phone and in person in a friendly and efficient manner. Supervises shifts to ensure that servers, bussers and bartenders are following company procedures and standards of service at all times.

Responsibilities

Accountable for quality service for the guests in the restaurant

Bartending skills needed

Ensure that staff takes breaks when needed, covering their area if needed

Performs table touches to ensure quality service and immediately corrects any problems

Maintain thorough knowledge of restaurant and bar menus

Schedule and arranges parties or special services/amenities for patrons

Assign work tasks and coordinates activities of restaurant and lounge personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service to patrons

Inspect lounge and dining room for neatness and cleanliness, and requisitions table linens and other supplies

Initial interviews and assists with training of new hires

May assist with creating weekly staff schedule

Acquires a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and local information to respond to customer questions in these areas as required

Must be available nights, weekends and all Holidays

Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $24.00 per hour

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must also be able to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds. The employee may be frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise is usually moderate to loud.
