We are hiring a shift Manager! Higher Grounds is a busy San Deigo-based Cafe, specializing in great coffee and food programs. We offer artisan coffee and a chef-driven food menu. Started in 2019 with a coffee cart we have grown to a large Cafe with other locations on the horizon. The perfect Barista Shift Manager would be someone with plus years of manager experience in a busy Cafe comfortable with making drinks, 3 plus years of barista experience, proficient in Toast, building customer loyalty, has a positive attitude, is growth-minded, loves to serve people, is great communicator, understands the needs and opinions of the staff.
Duties include but are not limited to
Staff schedule, break all FOH positions, can work and FOH position, train new FOH positions, Onboarding new staff, payroll, Toast daily menu updates, loading new menu specials, stocking POS inventory, FOH ordering coffee/dry goods/dairy/chips, weekly, inventory, catering proposals, invoicing.
You would directly oversee 3 baristas and an additional 2 staff from our kiosk location.
