Babbs breakfast burritos. La Jolla farmers market Sundays 9am-1pm. Pickup van in city heights at 6am, pickup food from kitchen in northpark at 6:30am, setup at farmers market in La Jolla 7am-9am. Unload and Set up booth, Cook food, take orders, make burritos. 1pm break down. 2pm unload food and dirty dishes at kitchen in northpark. 2:30pm return van to city heights.
Must have drivers license. Must have food service/line cook experience. Must have customer service experience. This is a one person does all gig. Must be comfortable being busy. Sales at this market range from $600-$1000. If it’s consistently over $800 I will hire a second person to help you but for now during the slow season it’s 1 person does all ($400-600 sales). This is a MANUAL LABOR position. Heavy lifting, if you’re not lifting with your legs your back will be sore. It’s 90 degrees in the summer and 400 degrees on the grill if you’re not wearing a hat and hydrating you will overheat.
Job starts at $20 an hour plus tips. You’re solo so you keep all your tips. After a while if I’m confident you’re competent I can bump you up a dollar or two an hour.
Training will be this Saturday at civita farmers market with my manager and this Sunday at La Jolla with me. Paid training obviously.
It’s a solid gig. Everyone that works for farmers markets is super friendly. It’s an amazing community to be a part of.
No drug users, no alcoholics. I’ve had bad luck with Craigslist so if you struggle with those things I wish you the best but please don’t waste both of our time.
