Common Stock is a casually sophisticated neighborhood restaurant + cocktail bar, where approachable American favorites are made from scratch with obsessively sourced ingredients, and served with great efficiency to ensure an exceptional dining experience. Through house-made sauces, hand-made spice mixes, and locally sourced proteins and produce, we highlight elevated, casual American food inside an upscale, bar-centric setting.
Featuring California's best chicken sandwich for two years in a row, Common Stock prides itself on applying an eye for detail, a knack for efficiency and high standards of execution to otherwise common American food items. With a "who's who?" of San Diego's restaurant professionals among our many regulars, we have gained a reputation as a consistently great neighborhood joint, with regular nods from Eater and San Diego Mag for everything from our vegetable dishes, to cocktail menus, brunch dishes, or our legendary fried chicken.
Despite being famous for our chicken sandwich, our menu also features a selection of inventive vegetable dishes, Peruvian style rotisserie chicken, as well as steaks a variety of lovely salads, and we were recently voted best happy hour in Hillcrest! In the immediate term, we are working to expand our dinner menu to feature some more exciting items, and elevate our culinary game even further.
As a company, we are constantly looking towards expansion, and will soon be developing further concepts which will fill out our vantage point on elevating the American canon with global spice use, holding genuine hospitality and comfort of experience at the center. We aim to fill out our kitchen team with dedicated professionals, who would like to work hard along side us to push our vision into the next phase, sharpen our skills and bring new perspective to what we do. Experience is recommended, but not necessary given a hard-working attitude, an ability to learn quickly, and a passion for excellence.
