A tour leader is a guide, a friend, an entertainer, a lifeguard, and adventurer all rolled into one. The entire responsibility of the group is yours. From the guest's arrival, to checking them in, you will guide them through the tour itinerary, see that the group gels, and connect with them. Most important, you want to ensure that they all return safely, with a bunch of new experiences, friends and awesome pictures too. A GREAT Tour Guide has guest's that want to brag about them on TripAdvisor and Yelp, and become friends with them on Facebook.
This is rewarding job, but being a good tour leader is also very important work. Usually you will spend several days leading back-to-back tours and sometimes the same tour over and over, but you make need to make it fun no matter what. For those with positive and enthusiastic energy, leading tours will be the most rewarding job in the world with amazing connections, friendships, opportunities, and gratuities too.
Application and Qualifications
Amongst being an all-around cool person, you will also need to have a California driver's license and a good driving record to lead our city tours. You also must pass a drug test and a driving record check prior to being hired. We are looking for friendly people who can be professional at all times, responsible, and on time every time. Hospitality, Tour Guide, or Livery experience is a major plus. Military experience is also a plus here.
Anybody can become an adventure tour leader. Of course, it helps if you are fluent in a dozen languages, have a PhD in anthropology, or have traveled to over a hundred countries. However, it is not essential. Ultimately, what you need is good personality and a lot of common sense, travel experience, people skills, and the desire to share yourself and your city in a superior and accommodating way. The one thing you do not have to be is lucky.

Drivers/Tour Guide: San Diego
Compensation: Our experienced guides can make up to $100-$300 per day (including tips and the tiger end with corporate groups)

Another Side Of San Diego Tours is a growing sightseeing company. But we're not your traditional tour company, we treat our staff and guests like family.
