We’re an emerging taco, burrito, and quesadilla shop in Old Town building a brand around staple favorites + rotating specials—served fast, consistently, and with pride. We’re looking for a Lead Cook who loves the line, brings calm energy in the rush, and wants to help raise the collective game of the kitchen as we grow momentum.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll help set the tone: quality, speed, cleanliness, and good vibes.
What You’ll Do
Run the line during service: execute tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and specials with speed and consistency
Lead by example: coach and support other cooks so the whole team levels up
Prep with purpose: manage prep lists, portioning, and station readiness to keep service smooth
Keep standards high: flavor, temp, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety every shift
Help improve the playbook: contribute ideas to streamline workflows and elevate new specials
Own the guest experience (from the kitchen): consistent food = repeat customers; you’ll be a key driver of regulars coming back
What We’re Looking For
2+ years in a high-volume kitchen (taqueria, fast-casual, or similar)
You’re fast, organized, and stay steady under pressure
Strong fundamentals: knife skills, prep, cleanliness, timing, and station management
You naturally help others improve—not ego, just standards
Reliable and punctual (we can teach recipes; we can’t teach ownership)
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with grill/plancha, carne asada/pollo/al pastor prep, salsa/guac production, or batch prep systems
ServSafe or food handler certification (or willing to obtain quickly)

Schedule
Shifts available across weekdays/weekends (we’ll work with the right candidate)
Must be able to work at least one weekend day consistently (preferred)
