We have an opportunity for an exciting, passionate, and personable person to join our culinary team in the role of Line cook. Shadowridge Golf Club is a private club located in Vista, California with over 500 members. The club is tailor made for someone who is passionate about cooking as well as building relationships with their co-workers and our membership. Line Cook is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of culinary services for our Members and guests. They support a la carte and private event food production while maintaining consistent food preparation and plate presentation for a la carte venues and catered events. The line cook also helps to ensure the safety of fellow Employee Partners.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of basic knife skills, butchery, use of kitchen equipment and proper cooking techniques.
Responsible for set-up and executing of daily par/prep and organization of individual daily work stations.
Properly prepare, store and organize of all food items necessary for operation of station in adherence with ClubCorp quality standards.
Communicate with Exec Chef and Sous Chef when special products are needed or having problems with food quality or presentation.
Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of individual workstation and kitchen as a whole, including equipment, counters, tools, waste areas, etc.
Assist fellow Employee Partners, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team.
Qualifications:
Have experience in fast pace kitchen and execute service according to Chefs expectations.
Requires a good sense of prioritization and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure within tight time constraints and maintain a sense of urgency
Ability to understand verbal directives and written instructions
Current California Food Handler's Card preferred
Able to work a varied schedule including holidays, weekends and nights as the business dictates
Possess knowledge of safe food-handling, sanitary kitchen conditions and proper hand washing techniques
Must be dependable and timely
