Green Dragon Tavern is a highly rated, family-owned restaurant located just of I-5 and Palomar Airport Road with ample free parking.

Favored by locals as their "hidden gem" in Carlsbad, Green Dragon Tavern is a community gathering, family friendly restaurant that offers a diverse menu of classic American entrees, fresh coastal seafood, hand-tossed scratch pizzas and more. Favored by all of our team members who love the food as well and take advantage of their generous discount to dine here every shift!

Our bar program offers 20 craft beers on tap, a diverse wine menu and craft cocktails including our own barrel aged Old Fashioned's, Negronis, Manhattan's and more. We are currently open from 11:30AM-8:00PM Wednesday through Sunday.

We are rapidly growing and need more members to join our team asap! Our servers and banquet/private events team always provide outstanding service allowing them to earn substantial tip income in addition to competitive wages and benefits. We are seeking to fill both part-time lunch and dinner shifts.

In addition, we have additional private event space separate from our restaurant and our team members often choose to cross train and work banquets to pick up additional shifts and income earning opportunities.

Servers:

- 2+ years of previous experience in a fast paced, full service restaurant required.

- Must be able to understand and adhere to our policies and steps of service.

- Must be self-driven, prompt and reliable.

- Food, wine, and spirits knowledge preferred.

- Bartending experience highly preferred.

- High volume experience preferred.

- Must be over 18 years old.

- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by management.

Bartenders:

- 2+ years experience with high-volume, craft cocktail knowledge and able to multi-task.

- Bartenders will take a manageable section to serve and the tip income makes it worth it!

- This position requires a solid knowledge of making most common / classic cocktails and can be trained up on our craft cocktails.

- Our bartenders are often involved and creating craft cocktails to rotate through our menu.

- Beer and wine knowledge a plus.

- Must be over 21 years old with previous bartending experience.

- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by management.

Banquet Servers/Captain: Banquet Server is responsible for the preparation and setup, service and cleanup and assists in maintaining all procedures related to banquets and events. This position will be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

- Self motivated individual

- Prior experience and success as a banquet server.

- Experience with BEOs and a thorough understanding of all requirements of scheduled events.

- Must be an honest, dependable, motivated, professional with strong communication skills.

- Knowledge of food and beverage.

- Requisition or obtain equipment and supplies needed for each event, ensuring that they meet guest expectations and requirements.

- Ability to work under pressure and deal with variety of personalities

- Ensure guest satisfaction.

- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems and matters of significance

- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote

cooperative and harmonious working climate.

- Maintains safe working conditions

- Must be available to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays included.

- Be 18 years of age.

- Posses the ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more when needed.

- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by management.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to manipulate equipment, and to talk and hear. The employee is sometimes required to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard, calculator and other office/restaurant equipment.
