About the Opportunity:
Flagship Cruises & Events is looking for Servers with a positive attitude and a team player who must be able to work evenings, weekends, and most holidays. Successful candidates will possess the ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment and assist with vessel preparations. Performance will be measured by management evaluation and peer feedback. High performers will be selected to learn new skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborate effectively with the operations team and back-of-house team
Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace
Self-starter with strong attention to detail
Set up and break down of dining room
Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area including bussing
Collect money, accurately provide change and input into POS
Serve guests and fill server orders quickly and courteously
Check IDs in accordance with beverage guidelines
Exercise good judgment, creativity, and sensitivity in response to changing situations
Additional duties may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
A flexible schedule is required
Hospitality experience is preferred
Fine dining experience is preferred but not required
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Must be able to pass random drug and alcohol screenings
High School Diploma or GED Equivalence Certificate preferred
Background in restaurants, banquets, or special events serving preferred
Available on all major holidays
May be required to apply for a Transportation Workers Identification Card
California Food Handlers certification is preferred but not required
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift/pull/push 50lbs
Ability to bend, rotate and reach frequently
Ascending/descending stairs safely
Must be able to maintain both static and dynamic standing balance to complete various duties associated with job
