Job Summary:
A local Deli is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver & Front Register/Stock Associate. This role combines delivery responsibilities with customer service, stock management, and patio setup. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being on the move, interacting with customers, and helping maintain a smooth, efficient operation both inside and outside the restaurant. Monday - Friday 8:00am-2:30pm
Delivery Driver Duties:
Safely operate the company vehicle to deliver orders to customers within the San Diego area.
Ensure all orders are accurate and delivered on time, maintaining the highest level of quality.
Provide friendly, professional customer service when delivering orders.
Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
Communicate effectively with management regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Front Register Duties:
Greet customers as they arrive and assist them in placing their orders.
Accurately process transactions at the front register, including taking payments and issuing receipts.
Ensure customer orders are prepared promptly and correctly.
Maintain a clean and organized front register area, including restocking supplies as necessary.
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about the menu and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Stock & Inventory Duties:
Restock and take inventory of beverage fridges & chips
Restock small items to ensure they are readily available for customer orders, silverware, bags napkins, to-go boxes.
Patio Setup & Breakdown:
Set up patio furniture at the beginning of shifts, ensuring it is clean, organized, and ready for customers.
Break down and clean patio furniture at the end of shifts.
Ensure the outdoor area remains clean and presentable during operational hours.
Qualifications:
Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus.
Ability to multitask and manage various responsibilities at once.
Strong communication skills and friendly demeanor with customers.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks, such as setting up and breaking down furniture.
Basic math skills and experience handling cash transactions.
Experience with Clover (POS).
Dependable, with good time management and punctuality.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with customers.
Work hours may include mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
Exposure to various weather conditions during deliveries and patio setup.
