Delicatessen Clerk/ Meat and Cheese Slicer
The Olive Tree Market, a neighborhood market in Ocean Beach with a high- volume delicatessen, is looking for a Deli Clerk/ Meat and Cheese Slicer. Responsibilities
A Deli Slicer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Slicing meats and cheeses for sandwiches.
Making fresh salads for the grab and go case.
Provides excellent customer service; greets and engages customers, providing helpful and friendly service and information needed to help customers make product-related decisions.
Maintains a clean work area at all times; keeps merchandise fresh in compliance with all health code regulations.
Assisting in other duties, as assigned, including daily maintenance of deli department.
Team player with a good attitude, who shows up to work on time, and is a respectful and responsible individual
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must know how to use a deli meat slicer.
Basic knife skills and basic kitchen equipment.
Strong ability to work well with people
18 years of age or older
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and basic math skills
Spanish, bilingual a plus
