GENERAL PURPOSE
The Life Enrichment Associate assists with the planning and implementation of resident activity programs on a daily basis. This includes, but is not limited to, creating a monthly activity calendar, resident bios, escorting residents on outings, and assisting with meal time. The Life Enrichment associate creates moments of joy for individuals with cognitive decline. The life enrichment associate contributes ideas and implements programming for creative outings, sensory stimulation, physical activity, and other activities necessary for a full and engaging lifestyle.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent required.
Experience: Previous experience working with older adults and/or persons with memory-impairing diseases is desirable.
Other: Must have valid driver license, good driving record, and current auto insurance. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs and cats. Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related disease.
