Job summary:
Seeking part-time or full-time Caregiver/Direct Support Professional members to assist adults with disabilities in their daily living and to have a quality of life. We are looking for a new staff member that will help promote the health, safety, and well-being of individuals. This is a residential group home located in Lemon Grove.
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED (WILL TRAIN STAFF MEMBER)
Job title: Direct Support Professional/Caregiver
Pay rate: $16.50 per hour - (Negotiate pay depending on work experience)
Job functions:
Provides direct support to the individuals living within the home
Assist with personal care (i.e. supervision, hygiene and grooming, meal prep, health care needs, etc.)
Fosters positive relationships between staff and individuals (i.e. play games, watch movies/TV shows, etc.)
Light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making
Encourages self-help activities
Help improve the clients’ standard of living in the Residential Group home
Pack lunch and prepare meals
Assist with Hygiene
Ensures individuals safety and maintains a safe environment.
Help administer medications
Light record keeping of client activities including medication
Able to communicate with clients
Job requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have or be able to obtain Direct Support Professional certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (Training will be provided if needed)
Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification (Training will be provided if needed)
Must pass pre-employment requirement including Live Scan background check, Pre-employment physical and TB test
