VCC is an equal opportunity employer.ResponsibilitiesAssist and support clinic manager in providing oversight of clinic operations. Direct and supervise patient flow and program maintenance. Ensure adherence to all policies and standards; maintenance of quality control, staffing, training and counseling of employees; inventory and maintenance of facility.Provide orientation and training for new hires to the clinic, including a tour of the site, introduction to co-workers, location of necessary equipment, and relevant staff functionsOversee job assignments, lunch and work schedules for DA and front desk staff and recommend changes as neededAssist in interviewing and evaluation of staffAssist in daily productivity reports, cycle time, testing, EDR coding and upkeep, maintaining and updating DA and front desk skillsAssist clinic manager in audits, tri-annual assessments and HIPAA and Safety walk throughsAssist in the coordination of the clinic and ensure optimal customer serviceAssist in patient and staff complaints. Serve as patient advocateResponsible for building security, including arming and disarming alarm system, and locking all doorsResponsible for collecting and securing all money collectedCover staff positions when neededQualificationsMinimumBilingual English/SpanishHigh School graduate or equivalentMinimum five years' experience in a medical settingRegistered Dental Assistant CertificateCurrent CPR certificationMinimum one year supervisory or lead experienceValid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance and reliable transportationRequired Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesKnowledge of community health centers and public assistance programs, state and federal regulations and manage care systemsKnowledge of dental - related special government programsTyping/data entry proficiency minimum 35 wpmExperience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products, business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilitiesAbility to understand training concepts and train othersExcellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfactionPreferred Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesExperience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Dental Records systems, NextGen preferredPay Range$30.00 - $33.00 per hourPI251685779 Apply
