Physical Therapy and Hand Center is growing, we now have 7 locations throughout San Diego.
We are seeking a dynamic, positive Collections Specialist with high emphasis on customer service.
Candidate must be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, good nature and energetic with a positive attitude.
Collection Specialists should be familiar with Medicare, Medi-cal, Commercial, and Workers' compensation.
Responsibilities:
Collection Specialist is responsible for timely submission of claims to insurance companies, as well as monitoring and ensuring payment for medical services are received in a timely manner.
Timely follow-up on processed claims that have not been paid within 45 days period.
Call all insurance and use of insurance websites.
Must be able to effectively manage billed AR aging and timely filing requirements.
Must be able to write appeals and grievance letters for denied claims.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in a medical office environment
1 to 2 years Medical Collection experience
ICD-10 experience preferred
Work Schedule: M-F 8am to 5pm
