Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a dental office setting. Your role will involve managing patient appointments, handling phone calls, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities: - Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor - Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management systems ( Dentrix, etc.) - Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department - Collect and verify patient insurance information - Assist with billing and insurance claims processing - Maintain patient records and update medical history as necessary - Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers - Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized - Follow office protocols for infection control and HIPAA compliance Experience: - Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes - Proficient in using dental practice management software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, etc.) - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
