VCC is an equal opportunity employer.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the development and coordination and presentation of training for new Medical Assistant (MA) staff, and provider individual and group refresher and new responsibility training as needed for all MA staff, throughout the organizationEvaluate skill level of new MA Staff during new hire onboarding process using the MA Assessment and Immunization checklistResponsible for the development and delivery of Medical Assistant (MA) new hire and refresher curriculum and training, clinical back office and administrativeResponsible for developing and delivering a quality educational experience for VCC clinical staff as needed.Assess and address deficiencies in MA skills and/or techniquesReview daily Medical Assistant internal audit worksheets and provide individual training for any MA who is deficient in any area of responsibilityEvaluate clinic staff work flow, provide suggestions on improvement to Clinic ManagerActively participate in assigned Quality TeamWork with other clinic departments (Operations, Clinical Informatics, Billing, Nursing Services, Human Resources, etc.) to support VCC’s mission and programsDemonstrate compliance with policies, regulations and codes of conduct in all aspects of job responsibilitiesTravel to all clinic locations as needed to observe and instruct MA staff in clinical skills as neededQualificationsMinimumHigh school graduate or equivalentMedical Assistant certificationMinimum 4 years’ practical work experience in a back office MA position CPR Certification (BLS Child, Infant, Adult) AHA approvedValid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance; reliable transportation, to travel for meetings and/or to gather information for reporting purposesPreferred Qualifications:Minimum 1 year training experience in clinical environmentSupervisory or lead experience ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding of the Medical Assistant scope of practice in a clinic setting and knowledge of back office skillsFamiliar with general training concepts, and demonstrated ability to train othersStrong interpersonal skills and ability to create a comfortable, supportive learning environmentAbility to address staff training needs and resolve any issues in a professional mannerCommitment to the educational success of the medical assistant staffAbility to articulate, project voice and be clearly understood when speaking in front of a groupAbility to prioritize and meet deadlinesAnnual completion of CDC Self-Study Module on Tuberculosis and fit test competencyExperience/familiarity with computers, business e-mail, communication systems and internet search capabilities and proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and ExcelFamiliar with operation of telephone, fax and copier equipmentPreferred Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesExperience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferredPay Range$28.00 - $31.00PI260611720 Apply
