Integrative Primary Care Practice in La Mesa looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist that can provide exceptional customer service over the phone and in-person in this Medical Receptionist role as the director of first impressions. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to: Up-keep various files and providing general office duties such as data entry, scanning, faxing, making appointments, collecting co-pays and payments on accounts and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures. Processing referrals to insurances/specialists. Also occasionally helping patients with paperwork, directing patients and visitors in person or on the phone , answering or referring inquiries- acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner- addressing phone calls and responding to inquiries in a detail-oriented and effective manner- aiding in the managements of patient medical records- responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations- ensuring the waiting and receptions areas are kept neat and clean. Applicant must be a fast learner.
Applicants must be able to prioritize workload and be comfortable with multi-line phone systems, required-medical records experience- Microsoft experience- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist- we want someone with experience with insurance verification and electronic medical records. General understanding of medical terminology, excellent telephone etiquette and keyboard skills are required.
