Priority RN Nursing Services, is a healthcare staffing agency, located in Carlsbad, CA. We staff acute care hospitals, research facilities, outpatient surgery centers, and infusion centers.
We have been asked to recruit one full time OR SCRUB TECH to work at an outpatient surgery center in Chula Vista.
The position is temp to permanent - registry as a paid orientation/interview and then convert to full time, benefitted staff member.
They primarily do orthopedic cases/sports medicine - open and arthroscopic cases - knees, elbows, shoulders, hips, carpal tunnels. They also do a some total joint cases, ENT, pain management and some general cases.
Must be able to independently scrub most cases.
Schedule is Mon to Fristart as early as 6a/630a start, and end as late as 5pm, depending on case load. Our cancellation policy is they need to cancel within 12 hours of start of shift, or you'll receive 6 hours of pay. They will guarantee you 32 hours per week.
Pay is $40.41 to $44.16 per hour (DOE) with OT after 8, DT after 12, OT after 40.
Requirements:
Must have at least one full year of paid time working as an OR Scrub Tech with orthopedic cases, to include all of the above listed cases.
Must be able to scrub all listed independently and comfortably
Experience must be in an US outpatient facility within the past 3 years
Must have AHA BLS or I can direct you to where to obtain
Start ASAP
Must speak English fluently
Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic
Temp to permanent (with benefits) position
Certification not necessary, however proof of education is a must
No nights, no weekends, no call. Outpatient facility!
Must be able to pass a criminal check as well as a drug screen, and have current TB skin test (from within the past year). Priority RN pays for UDS and crim check.
They would like to bring you in as registry-per diem and then convert you to their full time employee.
