Job Title: Licensed Physician Assistant – Family Practice

Schedule: 1-2 days (8-16hrs) per week, flexible days
Compensation: Independent Contractor (1099), $70+ per hour, based on experience
We are seeking a PA for a well-established family medicine practice committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and high-quality healthcare to patients of all ages over 90% of patients are adults.
Position Summary:
The Physician Assistant will work closely with our board-certified physician medical director, PA clinic manager and healthcare staff to provide primary care services to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
-Obtain medical history, assess patient health status, conduct physical exams, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, including infections, injuries, and chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension, and develop treatment plans
-Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
-Prescribe medications and manage patient care under physician supervision
-Provide preventative care, screening and counseling
-Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the EMR
-Collaborate with physician, PA, MA and administrative staff to ensure coordinated care
-Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, and joint injections, as needed (we are willing to train for more complex procedures)
-Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options.
Requirements:
Current and valid Physician Assistant license in California
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Physician Assistant in family practice or other primary care setting
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
MUST be fluent in Spanish
Updated CPR/BLS
