Hello, We are looking for a local private caregiver for my Dad. He is in the late stage of Alhzeimers. He care needs are fairly simple: He wakes up around 7am - 8am every morning. We use a Hoyer to change him and get him from the bed to his chair. After Breakfast, he likes to go back to bed for a nap and then gets up again and needs to go back to his chair. Back to bed and then gets up for dinner and back to bed around 6:30pm.
So help is needed at least 2 times a day. 3 would be great or maybe just one time a day and then somebody else for the other 2 times. We are still trying to figure it out.
We need someone who is reliable and trustworthy and strong enough to manage him. He is very kind and docile and easy to manage. The actual process of cleaning up and moving takes about 30 minutes. If you aren't familiar with using a Hoyer, it is easy to use and we are happy to train. My Mom is 80 years old and ended up with a compression fracture of her vertebrae so she only help minimally.
Pay starts at $25 a shift. Maximum shifts needed are 3 times a day.
I live in Oceanside so if someone can cover either the morning and noon shifts or just the evening shift, I can handle the other ones. It's just too much driving for me to go back and forth. Please call me to discuss the position.
