Assistant to Accounting and Human Resources Director

Our company is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant to support our human resources department and assist with accounting administrative duties, to ensure smooth operations within our office.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Assistant to the Accounting and Human Resources department, you will be assisting with various administrative functions:

Human Resources Support:

o Assist with maintaining employee records, workers comp, and detailed documentation for employee complaints and concerns.

o Help with payroll timecard scanning, processing, and benefits administration.

o Aid in recruitment, scheduling interviews, and communicating with potential candidates.

o Handle employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Accounting Administrative Support:

o Manage office supplies and assist with office organization and operations.

o Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing and expense tracking.

o Handle incoming calls, emails, and communications, ensuring smooth information flow within the office.

o Support special projects as needed, working closely with different departments.

Qualifications:

Experience:

o Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, executive assistant, or administrative role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

o Experience in HR tasks such as recruitment, payroll, or employee management is a plus.

Skills:

o Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

o Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software.

o Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.

o Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

o Positive attitude, resourcefulness, and a can-do approach to problem-solving.

o Ability to adapt quickly, provide support, and help resolve issues in the work place.

Benefits:

Hourly compensation based on experience.

Flexible working hours (Part-Time or Full-Time options available. Monday through Friday. Open for discussion for work times).
