QFC Real Estate is seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Property Handyman to join our Building Maintenance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our commercial properties in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, with the ability to work independently, show initiative, and respond promptly to maintenance issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance tasks, including drywall repair, painting, flooring, and carpet work.
Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical (HVAC) repairs, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly.
Address repair needs for doors, locks, windows, and other building components.
Perform routine inspections to identify and fix issues before they escalate.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of building interiors and exteriors, including lobbies, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
Handle trash removal, sweeping, mopping, power washing, and light landscaping tasks.
Ensure that parking lots, sidewalks, and entryways are clean and safe.
Monitor and restock supplies in restrooms and other common areas as needed.
Be on-call for emergency maintenance issues and respond promptly to resolve urgent problems.
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for events and operational needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial real estate setting.
Demonstrated ability to perform tasks such as drywall repair, painting, flooring, and general handyman services.
Required experience with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical (HVAC) systems.
Proficiency with a variety of tools and power equipment.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
Ability to read and follow instructions and technical manuals.
Valid California driver’s license.
Ability to provide examples or references showcasing previous work.
Must be available for emergency calls outside of regular working hours.
Physical Requirements:
Capable of lifting and moving items up to 80 lbs.
Able to perform tasks that require physical stamina, such as climbing ladders, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Must be available for emergency calls outside of regular working hours.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience.
