Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Person to join our construction team. The Yard Person will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the construction site, assisting with material handling, and supporting the construction crew with various tasks. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the construction site, including sweeping, trash removal, and debris management.
Assist with the unloading, loading, and transportation of construction materials and equipment.
Organize and store materials and tools in designated areas.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as minor repairs and equipment upkeep.
Support the construction crew with various tasks as needed, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the site supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a construction or labor-intensive role is preferred but not required.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
