Specialty Design Build is a family-owned design-build firm that specializes in New Build ADU/JADU’s, Additions, and Major remodels that benefit from a hands-on, customized design build process.
Summary:
Specialty Design Build is looking to hire a Project Assistant to assist the Production Manager on all job-sites. The role of the Project Assistant is to aid the company and the Production Manager in all aspects in the field. Their primary goal is to provide a safe, clean, and organized environment to help ensure a successful completion of the projects Specialty Design Build is working on. In this position you will have broad responsibilities relating to the construction of beautiful custom-built homes and ADU’s.
Requirements:
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation, truck preferred. Will be traveling to job-sites.
- Must be highly organized, clean, and detail-oriented.
- Willingness to provide new ideas, and engage in detailed discussions about construction.
- Have good interpersonal skills, communication skills, and ability to follow procedures.
- Willingness to seek advancement within company as skills grow.
- Clean DMV Record.
Responsibilities:
The Project Assistant is responsible for the overall cleanliness and appearance of the job-sites of Specialty Design Build as well as aiding the Production Manager in all aspects of in-field work. The duties of Project Assistant include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and organizing all job-sites on a daily basis.
- Help take delivery and inventory of all items delivered to job-site.
- Help pickup & drop-off material with the various vendors SDB works with.
- Perform pick-up work of various trades (light demo, small framing, etc.)
- Have understanding of all projects and scopes of work that SDB is currently engaged in.
- Meet with subcontractors if Production Manager is unable to.
- Help sit for project inspections.
- Help maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Help ensure the successful completion of all jobs.
