We are seeking a part time and full-time Culinary Gardener who is educated/experienced in the field of organic gardening to help maintain the integrity of our farm to table experience.
Job Summary:
As a Culinary Garden Hand you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, such as:
Perform a morning routine which includes watering, sowing of daily microgreens and attending to daily
composting procedures.
Assist in the harvest and processing of our herbs, fruits, and vegetables.
Assist in the quarterly planting of seasonal crops.
Work to maintain the integrity of the garden by weeding, scouting, fixing and maintaining irrigation and
other responsibilities as needed.
Independently monitor, document and record data in garden.
Assist in the overall design and construction of garden landscape.
Assist in maintain and reproduction of bees
Knowledge & Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of organic garden practices.
Understand the basics of plant health for a variety of crops.
General knowledge of garden tools and equipment.
Must be able to follow instructions.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Have the capability to operate a motorized vehicle safely.
Commit to a tobacco free work environment.
Physical Requirements:
The ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
The ability to complete repetitive garden tasks such as, bending, stooping, kneeling and standing for long
periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and carry it a minimum of 10 feet.
Must have no fear of bees and be non-allergic to bee stings, pollen, honey or other products of the hive
Compensation: $18.50/hr.
