You'll be taking care of tropical plants and flowers for commercial and residential clients in San Diego County.
San Diego's premiere PlantScape design and service company has an opening for a plant care specialist. This is a full-time recurring service position Monday - Friday and we are looking to hire someone immediately.
Plant Care Specialist will need to:
Have prior plant knowledge, particularly regarding the health, maintenance and pest management of containerized plants - we will train the right candidate with our comprehensive 4–6-week training program.
Be detail oriented
Have excellent communication skills
Speak and understand English proficiently
Be a self-starter and show initiative
Be able to find your way around the San Diego area efficiently and follow a daily route while driving safely. Company vehicle is provided.
Have impeccable customer service skills
Basic computer knowledge - Microsoft 365 programs including but not limited to: Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel.
Be energetic and have a natural love for plants
Be a great team player
Be flexible to schedule changes and responsibilities
Be in good physical condition for walking (up to 6 hours/day) and carrying heavy objects (up to 40 pounds), bending, and climbing ladders.
Be prompt, detailed, and organized with paperwork
Be able to multitask while remaining efficient
Be neat, clean and always maintain a professional appearance
Have a great driving record
Be able to listen and apply directions, maintain an attention to detail, and possess overall common sense
Be responsible and trustworthy
Have a pleasant and positive attitude
