Intersection Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to join our team. We need you to be punctual, hardworking and a skilled individual seeking long-term employment. The Day porter must be able to efficiently handle a changing environment and be capable of dealing with multiple people and various situations simultaneously. Incredible room for growth!

Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Maintenance:
o Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting throughout the facility/shopping center/common areas.
o Ensure restrooms, hallways, elevators, office spaces, and common areas are clean, stocked, and properly maintained.
o Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in designated areas.
o Clean glass windows, doors, and partitions as required.
o Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand sanitizers in restrooms and kitchens.
Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure the facility is free of hazards and promptly report any safety concerns or potential risks.
o Adhere to health and safety standards and procedures while performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
o Maintain proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies and chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
Customer Service:
o Serve as a point of contact for employees, visitors, and vendors regarding building services or cleaning-related issues.
o Assist with general inquiries and provide excellent service to building occupants.
Additional Duties:
o Perform light repairs such as changing light bulbs or air filters.
o Assist in inventory management and ordering of cleaning supplies.
o Carry out other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or other supervisory staff.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be experienced in commercial properties (1-2 years preferable)
Must have a reliable car or truck

Skills & Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor such as lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
Skills:
o Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
o Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively with staff and visitors.
o Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
o Basic problem-solving skills and ability to handle simple maintenance tasks.
Work Conditions:
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with some weekends if necessary
Environment: Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a variety of office or commercial settings.
Physical Demands: The role requires extended periods of walking, standing, lifting, and bending. Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
