Cal-a-Vie Health Spa is seeking a full time Irrigation Specialist who will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage for landscaping use.
Located on 200 private acres in North County San Diego surrounded by an environment reminiscent of the French country side with rolling lavender hills and the sounds of nature, take a walk during your lunch break past our 17th Century chapel, windmill, and grape vineyards while taking in the scent of orange blossoms. We are close to the communities of Vista, Bonsall, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Escondido, Temecula and Murrieta.
Duties Include:
- Oversee the installation of irrigation systems, including drip, sprinkler, and surface irrigation
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems, diagnose issues, and perform repairs or upgraded as needed
- Monitor water usage and develop strategies to improve efficiency, including the use of smart technology and scheduling
- Maintain accurate records of system designs, maintenance schedules, and repair performed
- Work closely with landscape technicians to plan and integrate irrigation systems into overall project designs
- Perform regular landscaping tasks, including mowing, pruning, and weeding
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have knowledge of irrigation systems - 2 years experience
- Ability to work successfully with limited direction
-Ability to get along with co-workers and communicate effectively
- Understanding of health and safety rules
- Dependable and ability to report to shifts on time
- Open availability including weekends and holidays
Physical Demands:
-Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. 1-33% of the time
-Ability to bend, kneel, squat, crouch, stoop or reach for intermittent periods 67-100% of the time
-Repetitive movement of arm at shoulder for intermittent periods 67-100 % of the time
-Repetitive movement of both hands for intermittent periods 67-100% of the time
-Pushing/Pulling up to 10 lbs. 67-100% of the time
-Ability to twist neck for intermittent periods 67-100% of the time
-Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions
