We are a growing janitorial services company seeking an experienced and dedicated Janitorial Supervisor to join our team. Position Overview:
As a Janitorial Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of cleaning services, ensuring quality control, training staff, and providing leadership in the field. You will work directly with the Office Manager and Scheduler to manage shift coverage, especially in cases where employees are unavailable due to illness or emergencies. You will also have the responsibility of maintaining our company's high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspecting and maintaining standards: Perform regular inspections of sites to ensure cleanliness meets our high standards.
Supervision and training: Train and guide cleaning staff, ensuring proper procedures and safety protocols are followed.
Shift coverage: Be available on-call to cover shifts if team members are absent.
Problem solving: Address client concerns, resolve issues on-site, and provide immediate feedback and action as necessary.
Reporting: Communicate with office staff and provide updates on job performance, client satisfaction, and any incidents.
Coordination: Work closely with the Office Manager and Scheduler to ensure all shifts are covered, and operations run smoothly.
Equipment management: Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and report any issues or necessary reordering.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in the janitorial or related field.
Bilingual: Must be fluent in both Spanish and English to effectively communicate with staff and clients.
Leadership: Prior experience in a supervisory role, including training and overseeing staff.
Detail-oriented: Must pay close attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.
On-call availability: Willing to be on-call and cover shifts when employees are absent.
Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with both staff and clients professionally.
Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license for travel between job sites.
Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
