We are currently looking for full-time or part-time maintenance technician to help cover various apartment complexes in the Chula Vista and Hillcrest areas of San Diego. The maintenance tech is responsible for overall cleanliness and maintenance of the buildings and provides the physical labor required to maintain or construct a project in a proper, efficient, and safe manner by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities (Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
-Completes minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry, and other related maintenance activities using hand or power tools.
-Performs activities relating to turning vacant apartments such as painting, installing doors, upgrading bathrooms, installing new faucets or light fixtures, installing/repairing appliances, installing new plank flooring.
-Completes work orders submitted by tenants for routine items, such as minor plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, appliance repairs, etc.
-Applies basic rules of carpentry to include replacing woodwork, trim and moldings; installing or handling doors and hinges.
-Operates power tools in a safe manner to include various saws, planers, sanders, nailers and drills.
-Completes/Communicates requests for materials and supplies and submits to management for processing.
-Provides excellent customer service to tenants, performing work orders with a helpful, positive, and caring attitude while demonstrating good listening skills to the tenants and completing work orders in a timely manner.
-Communicates with management to clarify work order information and to relay repair results.
-Uses our property management software to view/update/close work orders.
-Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
-Performs on call responsibilities in accordance with established schedules.
-Maintains tools and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
-Reports any equipment problems or concerns to their supervisor immediately.
-Cleans common areas as directed by onsite manager.
-May be required to order and/or pickup supplies.
-May be required to work at various locations if need arises.
