Summary: The Shipping and Receiving position involves reviewing shipping orders on a tablet, verifying precise documentation, picking orders, pulling products, shrink-wrapping, and building pallets for shipment, along with preparing the sample board for the showroom display and replacing samples when necessary.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt, hourly role. Hourly rates start at $18, plus Over Time (paid at 1.5x), plus Bonuses. Annual pay for new hires generally ranges between $51,900.00 and $68,300.00 or more, depending on experience, overtime hours worked and bonuses.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:

Accurately select flooring product orders, palletize, and shrink-wrap each order, ensuring secure handling of the heavy

material.

Read shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed.

Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents, gather, and maintain all data related to shipping activities.

Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled and prepare the area accordingly for sample boards.

Lay out tiles in a specific pattern and cut them to fit around board layout.

Mix and apply adhesive and grout to set tiles securely and ensure they are even and level.

Install border and edge pieces and apply sealant to prevent water damage.

Collect all documentation for outboard freight and route to the proper record-keeping unit.

Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped.

Schedule inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations.

Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and issue instructions for loading products.

Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.

Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment.

Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance of equipment.

Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:

High School Education or equivalent required.

1-2 years of Warehouse experience

One (1) year of experience operating a Forklift.

Ability to use a computer or tablet a plus

Ability to read blueprints and measurements, and calculate the needed amounts of materials.

Familiarity with tools and equipment used in tiling.

Good communication and organizational skills

Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
