We are seeking a Shipping, Packaging & Inspection Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the overall success of our company by ensuring high-quality products are packaged and shipped in a timely and efficient manner, while also maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
The key results to achieve include:
- Preparing shipments for delivery to customers, including packing items securely, generating shipping labels, and arranging transportation.
- Coordinating with shipping carriers or freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with shipping regulations, including customs documentation for international shipments.
- Maintaining accurate records of inspection results, packaging activities, and shipping transactions.
- Recording inventory movements, including receipts, transfers, and shipments, in the company's inventory management system.
- Ensuring that all outgoing shipments meet quality standards and customer specifications.
We are looking for the following areas of expertise:
- Strengths: Attention to detail, organizational skills, quality focused, reliable.
- Shipping experience: Prior experience with UPS, FedEx and other carriers to include experience with packaging and inspection of goods.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Inevitably, issues may arise during inspection, packaging, or shipping processes. A candidate should be able to identify problems quickly and implement effective solutions to minimize delays and maintain productivity.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication is necessary for collaborating with team members, reporting issues or concerns, and ensuring accurate shipping information. Additionally, being able to follow instructions precisely is vital in all aspects of the role.
- Basic Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic manufacturing equipment, computer systems for printing shipping labels, updating records, and understanding safety protocols.
Pay: $18-$23/hour DOE
