We are currently recruiting for a Stall Cleaner employee, full time (about 36 hours).
Examples of tasks related to this position include, but not limited to:
Clean horse stalls, outside pens, turnout area, and service areas.
Cleaning and refilling water buckets
Horse feeding (grain)
Hay placement/throwing
Move horses as necessary (after training).
Reports maintenance needs
Performs minor or routine maintenance on stalls
Operates a variety of light and medium equipment
Observe animals and reports abnormal conditions to superiors
Dragging of the main horse ring/arena.
Various projects on the ranch, such as barn tidy up, mow grass/ weed eater and light maintenance.
Schedule typically runs 6am to 1230pm (with a 30 min. lunch), 6 days a week (Tuesday-Sunday)
Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience caring for equines is preferred
Safe work practices around horses and other livestock
Able to lift up to 75-100 lbs
Must be 18 years or older, nonĀsmoker, and drug-free
Clear background check
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Work effectively with minimal supervision
Monitor animal appearance and behavior and communicate any necessary information to superiors
Able to work in uneven terrain with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, and allergens and move about on slippery surfaces.
Work outdoors most of the time and be able to twist, bend, kneel, climb and use hand tools
Safely operate a golf cart
Commitment to being a team player
Ability to adhere to the organization's policies, procedures, and regulations
We are a horse showing ranch located in Rancho Santa Fe, we offer a great work environment and opportunity to grow with us. Experience not necessary, however a high level of comfort around horses is required, as employee will be working in close quarters with horses.
