We are seeking a Water Restoration Technician to become a part of our team! This role involves responding to water damage incidents, including sewer backups, and encompasses a range of construction and demolition tasks. As a technician in this department, you’ll be engaged in emergency services, available day and night, while also contributing to training new team members. We're seeking individuals who are career-focused and eager to develop expertise across all aspects of this department. NTVE of San Diego recognizes the dedication required for this role and offers competitive starting pay between $20-$25 per hour.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience required
- IICRC WRT Certification required
- Must be on-call per the department's schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain a satisfactory or insurable driving record and possess a valid driver’s license
- Must pass a satisfactory background screening every two years, per program guidelines
- Must live within the office's service area, as required by program guidelines
- Proper use of PPE is essential
- Willingness to obtain additional IICRC Certifications for professional growth
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and physical exam
- Technically competent with the ability to learn industry-specific software
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in restoration (required)
- Valid driver's license (required)
Responsibilities:
Respond to water losses, sewer backups, and mold remediation
Perform construction and demolition tasks
Provide emergency services, day and night
Train new laborers on job tasks
Communicate with adjusters and TPAs for approvals and updates
Write sketches and define the scope of work
Use industry platforms like Mica, Dash, and Xactware
Perform on-site services like water extraction, demolition, and mold remediation
Place equipment effectively for optimal drying
Take accurate moisture readings
Complete paperwork and take job photos
Use smartphones, tablets, and basic tech
Interact professionally with customers
Maintain and service equipment
Follow company policies, with a focus on safety regulations
