About Us:We are a dynamic, general practice law firm seeking independent contractor attorneys to join our team. This is a fully remote, part-time position ideal for California-licensed attorneys seeking flexibility, a work-life balance, and the ability to choose the matters they wish to handle.

Position Overview:We are hiring Employment Law attorneys, but we are also open to attorneys who practice in the following areas:

Landlord/Tenant

Family Law

Contract Law

Civil Litigation

Bankruptcy

Real Estate (Property/HOA Disputes & Contractor Disputes)

Estate Planning

Personal Injury

Immigration

Tax Law

Securities Law

Intellectual Property

Cyber Law

Conservatorships/Guardianships

Non-Profit Law

Your Role & Responsibilities:Your duties as an independent contractor attorney may include, but are not limited to:

Client Intake (primarily via phone)

Transactional Work

Pre-Litigation Assistance

Limited Scope Litigation

Full Case Management (from start to finish, including trial if applicable—the choice is yours)

Administrative Assistance — Our team handles administrative tasks, so you can focus on practicing law. These tasks include quoting fees, collecting payments from clients, handling documents/filings, and managing your calendar.

Legal Support Team — Need help? We can assign paralegals, law clerks, or other attorneys to assist you on your matters as needed.

Case Reviews — We conduct periodic case list reviews to ensure your matters are progressing smoothly and to offer support where needed.

What We’re Looking For:We’re searching for attorneys who possess the following qualities and skills:

Personable & Professional — Ability to connect with clients and represent the firm’s values.

Reliable — Ability to calls clients and potential clients on time.

Time Management — Must be able to prioritize and manage caseloads independently.

Team Player — While you'll work remotely, a sense of teamwork and collaboration is essential. A good sense of humor is a plus!

Our most successful attorneys are self-starters who manage their time effectively, handle caseloads without micromanagement, and maintain a commitment to providing high-quality client service.

Workload & Availability:

Work is flexible, with an expectation of 10-20 hours per week, depending on how many areas of law you practice and how many matters you choose to handle.

You have the ability to accept or decline new matters as they arise. You’re in control of your workload and can stop accepting new cases at any time.

Work Environment:This is a fully remote position, so you can work from home, your personal office, or one of our office locations (space permitting). Working from home or your personal office is preferred as long as it’s a professional environment free from background noise (e.g., no barking dogs, kids playing, or other disruptive sounds).

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $50/hr - $150/hr, sometimes more, depending on the nature of the case or task, or hourly rate billed.

Consultations & Document Reviews: Paid at $50/hr.

Case Work-Up: Generally averages over $100/hr depending on the nature of the work.

Contingency Cases: Pay varies based on the nature of the task and the case assignment, but usually ranges between 40%-50% of the fee earned.

Requirements to Apply:

Must be a licensed California attorney in good standing with the California State Bar.

Must reside in California.

Must have the time availability to commit to at least 10-20 hours per week.

Must be comfortable communicating directly with clients and potential clients.
