SAI, a growing electronic contract manufacturer located in Carlsbad is seeking entry-level and experienced Assemblers and machine crimper operators for our production line. We are currently hiring for the 1st shift and 2nd shift. We pay a ($1.75) differential rate for the 2nd shift.
The ideal candidate must read and understand given instructions; able to work well in an assembly line as part of a team and follow established procedures and guidelines. Assembler performs repetitive manual tasks associated with the assembly of parts, components and/or units at floor workstations. Operates crimping machine, tests, and calibrates mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to specifications. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary.
Requirements:
Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
1- year of electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred but not required
Ability to distinguish different colors and audible tones
Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications and assembly instructions
Knowledge of J-STD, IPC 610, IPC 620 is preferred
Ability to manually insert wires into connectors
Must follow detailed instructions and work well in a team
Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks
