ENTRY LEVEL FABRICATOR/WELDER/METAL SHOP PRODUCTION
Small short run production metal fabrication shop needs enthusiastic team player to handle part fabrication to welding to finished product, full time. Most projects are light weight aluminum. Must be able to multi-task and be willing to do whatever is needed to keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude. At least 2 years experience in metal shop fabrication or equivalent training at trade school level. Experience in layout and metal cutting tools of all types a plus, experience in machining helpful but will train. Tig weld thin aluminum will be the goal, will train right person with welding experience. Must supply own welding gear (helmet, jacket if desired).
Important to have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable in a metal shop environment. Be prepared for a welding test if you have tig welding experience.
A motivated team player for a fast-paced environment and ability to work with little supervision a must! Racing/off-road knowledge and interest a plus!
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of or interest in high quality automotive/race car parts.
Location: Vista, CA
Compensation: $17.50 to $20.00/hour based on experience
