Maintenance Technician-Must have a "can-do" attitude
Main job is to ensure entire facilities and machinery are running at all times.
Must ensure keeps up with maintenance plan, directed or coordinated. Ensure all operations and functionalities of all facilities, buildings and all equipment are maintained and in fully working order at all times.
May include surrounding grounds or multiple facilities on campus.
Must have a Great ability to trouble shoot.
Must Have Proven Verifiable Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance/repair role.
General skills:
Ability to handle simultaneous projects and meeting work order deadlines.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers at all levels.
Able to work well independently and/or in a team. Organized and detail-oriented person.
Critical thinker and problem solver. Ability to mentor and train others.
Technical Skills:
Highly skilled in the proper use of hand tools, power tools and test equipment.
Able to troubleshoot all types of electro-mechanical and HMI controlled equipment: Shears, Laser Cutters, Punch Presses, Press Brakes, Rollers, Water Jets, Saws, Millis, Lathes, etc.
Experience working/troubleshooting AC/DC devices, power supplies, motor controls, transformers, solenoids, servomotors, relays, contactors, variety of sensors, stepper-motors, encoders and pneumatic systems.
Able to operate forklifts, articulating boom lifts and scissor lifts with no aversion to heights.
Able to comprehend service/maintenance manuals and technical procedures including schematics, flow charts, and exploded parts diagrams.
Able to improve the existing Preventive Maintenance program and implement/enforce a PM schedule.
Experience with all types of fabrication including machining, cutting, forming, and assembly.
Experience in equipment layout, installation, complete overhaul, service, and calibration of CNC machinery.
Experience with Lockout Tagout systems.
Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams.
Journeyman level electrician not required but desired.
Must have and demonstrate with experience technical Skills
Equipment Maintenance- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Equipment Selection- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Installation- Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
Operation and Control- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
Operations Analysis- Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.
Operations Monitoring -Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Programming -Writing computer programs for various purposes.
Quality Control Analysis -Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Repairing -on going repair of machines or systems using the needed tools.
Technology Design- Generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs.
Troubleshooting- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Resource Management Skills
Management of Financial Resources- Determining how money/time will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures.
Management of Material Resources- Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
Individual must be highly skilled in trouble shooting and fixing Punch Presses, Press Brakes, Cranes, Forklifts, and other machines in the shop. Must be able to operate heavy machinery, maintain safety as a focus and ensure an always present “fix it” attitude to ensure production is not delayed or down. Production must be minimally affected. Must prove to understand this concept with previous experience.
Individual must have legal status to work in the United States as a citizen or green card holder.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Must pass an extensive background check.
